Buying a wedge

Have finally decided I want to buy a wedge, have found a nice 350SE.

Initially it will be a 2nd car, can anyone recommend a good limited mileage insurance company for a 26 year old?

Couple of questions as well:

Are the windscreens easy to get hold of if they break, are they generally covered by normal insurance?

Can the hydralics on the boot be improved to cope with the spoiler?

The 350SE electric windows seemed far better/quicker than both the Griffith and Chimaera I've been in. Is this normal or lucky?

Would it have a SEAC boot spoiler,be a red one and be number 1 built by any chance? The spoiler would explain why the boot won't hold up! Windows are really lucky!

If it is this one it does look nice.

It is the red one. Did all the 350SE's have a whale tail?

Not all 350SE came with a large spoiler, mine has a small one, and even that maybe an addition since it is a slightly different colour to the rest of the car.
Recent new boot struts have made it much easier to open.

Spoke to chap at the Castle Coombe run recently who had Mk2 Cavalier struts in his. When he pressed the button the boot went up by itself.....quickly....he makes sure there is no one standing in the way!

Mine has a nice piece of pine with 'TVR' written on it,
neatly stowed in the boot, to prop up said bodywork as required.
I don't know if this was a factory option.

Yep and book yourself on a TVRCC trackday with instruction and learn to get the most out of your car.
