Roof was down earlier - not easy to put back up the 1st time - found it helps a lot with the windows down. The Struts seem to need a lot of force to go back.

A better photo from a few days ago before I picked it up:

2 TVRs in the family now.

Congratulations - I'm sure you will enjoy it tremendously!

See - there are other Wedges with the tea tray on the back!

Removing and replacing roof - best to have both doors open - or at least both windows down, then the hood can be removed or replaced in mere seconds. Just slot the rear centre section tongues into the slots in the folding back section and swing the back section up with the solid piece in place and locate the front tongues into the slots in the windscreen header - just have to push the struts in place and it's done! Reverse it for removal.

What model is it?

Edited to confirm slot into back section first!

Looks a nice colour there. What are the wheels, as they look a bit like the Cup Raiders I had on my black 350 ? ( Stolen from my old Toyota Supra !)

Always been a bit wary of slotting the lid into the screen first. Seems a bit flimsy and apparantly there is nothing but the fibre glass giving it strenght. Maybe too paranoid.

I drop the lid into the rear and lift up to meet, then push from the rear, enough to aid snapping the stays.

I pop the pass door to help and look out for a flap each side where the rear section pivots, should drop down over the door seals to aid water run away when it rains.

You're quite right - slot the solid section into the rear section first and then swing it all up to meet the windscreen header - that was what I meant but didn't make it very clear - edited the comment to correct that.

Don't understand your next bit?

Thanks for the info about the roof - I was trying to slot it into the windscreen first.

Model - It is 350SE number 1.

Alloys are BK racing. Have the original alloys as well but they need some cleaning.

Just airing my view on it. It may well be OK but those lugs and screen don't look man enough on thier own to me.

JJ, on some there is a flap of fabric to aid water drainage from the roof etc. About 3be2 section that flops over the door seal, catches water running off the roof channel and directs it to the out side rather than pool side.

Interesting subject. The SEAC windscreen frame appears to be made of rubber (compared to the 350) has anyone ever strengthened it and if so how ?

I had to go back 1090 days to find this post. I'm not the most eliquent with word but hopefully this gets my point across.

Well it has almost 3 years and 25,000 miles since the start of Wedge ownership. It has gone from being a 2nd car briefly, then to a 1st car then back to being a 2nd car again recently. After sparing almost no expense so that it has worked flawlessly, its almost ironic that now everything works perfectly now it is not really needed to (like the windscreen wiper!).

Much as it is great to drive and enjoy it everyday, I'm amazed with it going back to a 2nd car how much more I enjoy the car. I drive it with the roof down or not at all, meaning you can drive it properly whenever you drive it, there's no worry about steaming up etc, you appreciate the sound so much more, you notice the attention that bit more. Every overtake gives you that buzz powering past cars with all the torque and noise the V8 delivers.

There's not been a single day I regret owning a wedge, even the few days its been sitting there non-operational. 3 years of wonderful wedge ownership. Every time you get in it, it brings the broadest smile to your face and you couldn't imagine not having it.

With what I've spent now getting things sorted out, I think it will be a car for life. Yes I've always wanted a Tuscan, but I'll wait until I can afford to run both and have a garage big enough to house both!

also had mine for 3 years, no where near 25000 miles, more like 6000, but still a great car to drive, and look forward to getting it back on the road.

Thanks Dan.

I saw and heard(!) your wedge at Supercar Sunday, I was standing about 15 feet behind it. I really regret not having been able to make it to recent regional meetings recently for various reasons. I'm not going to be able to make it on Sunday, I'm off visiting my nan in York. I will be at the wedgefest and taking advantage of the fact my dad now lives less than a mile and a half from Ettington.

I know I've neglected the WWM site for a while, that will all change in a couple of weeks. I'm leaving my job and setting up on my own in just over 2 weeks. So I will make our site be that bit more and everything it should be.
