BBWF from oop North.

Dear Fellow Northern Wedgers,

The time is nearly upon us for BBWF. We have 2 contingents, one from the North East one from the North West making their merry way to BBWF on Sat AM. We are aiming to converge at Tesco's on the A34 just off Junction 4 of the M42 heading towards Solihull. It is literally a few hundred yards from the motorway junction on a roundabout. It also has a petrol station for those of us who may need a top up !!

We are aiming to meet there at approx 11:30 and join up for the last leg to E.C.

Please see the other threads for starting points etc for each region.

Wedges from up North-ish and North East wedges to BBWF.

I'm just going to put cruise control on (laggy band round ankle) and follow Roger, as he seems to know where it is!
My AA book is from 1975, and I got lost on the new M62.

Have the trees grown back down there now ?

I think I may go down on the friday evening if everyone else is going with this plan as I prefer the more rural roads rather than skirting Birmingham.

That way I can be on hand at Ettington on Saturday morning to organise parking too.

Any Northerners going down on Friday?
It seems all the convoy fun is taking place on the Saturday. There must be others with so much confidence in their Wedge tghat they are setting off on Friday with their fingers crossed & their AA card in their pocket.

10:30 ish Tibshelf services

I'll be in Leicester Friday night, anyone approaching in such a fashion that might mean they use the M69 from the M1? EDIT: Saturday AM that is...
If so we could do a meet at Leicester Forest East services (southbound; easy to get to from the northbound side, you overshoot the n/bound services and take the next exit to get on the s/bound) or the retail park just off the end of the M69 (Fosse Park)...

I thought people still were meeting there, is only me changing mind as I'm coming down M18 from East of York and will end up 20miles further down M1 than Woolley Edge.

Us N.Easterners are stopping at Wooley Edge (9.30) and Tibshelf (10.30), as I understand it, so no problem.

Since my fuel gauge is u/s, I'll definately be stopping off.

I might go down Fosse Way later though.
Hate motorways.
