Wedge owners EGroup !
Discussion
All,
I've been thinking about this for a while - how about we form a wedge owners egroup.
We could use this to inform everyone - about up and coming events etc..
I have the email addresses of nearly everyone who attended the wedgefest.
As with all these egroups - discussion is really best on a forum like this rather than on the group email but not everyone gets to see this forum on a regular basis.
What does everyone think about this.
We would need an administrator and I know it would take some effort to initially set-up..
As many might not want their work email being used or people may need to set-up a filter and new folder especially for this..
Any volunteers.. (Rev takes a step back..)

I already 'own' a yahoogroup, theres not much to it, except for approving new members as and when, never had need to 'moderate' it as such, it was set up before i went off to uni so a friendship group could easily stay intouch with everyone, nothing is said that we wouldnt say to eachothers faces anyeway"
Be willing to help if needs be.
Rog, could i have chassis33@wedgister and it forwarded to my usual address?
Regards
Iain

Thius may seem a bit luddite but to be honest isn't there already a group on PH.... This is it. There were egroups for TVRs etc but they fell into disuse simply because PH offered a better service and easier access.
There is also the slight problem from my perspective in the amount of time needed to monitor/contribute to all the groups. PH is very easy to do that.
My recommendation is stay with PH or is there some other point I'm missing?

My idea was just to imform the many who attended the wedge fest of things that were going on - never to replace PH.
Nothing can do that![]()
Rev, when I get back after the weekend I'll set up a mailing list with all the addresses that were on the .xls you sent me. If you have a more up to date version, bung it over.

Right. I've uploaded and tested a neat newsletter generating and mailing system which will go live at the wedgister site in the next couple of days. I've spent a few hours giving everyone an email alias at wedgister.co.uk to post the newsletters to. Rev and anyone else who wants to be able to will be able to upload word docs, pics, spreadsheets etc and send them out to everyone at the click of a few buttons.
More details soon
