Search for oil filter info series 2 350i

I was recently given two FRAM PH2821A oil filters which are the same as currently fitted to the car.
I have heard that there should be an internal non return valve to prevent the oil pump from un-priming itself. Does anyone know if these are the correct type? and are the GEF 295 and the landy ones mentioned below fit for purpous or not?

Have a look at the top of the filter, where the ring of holes are there should be a rubber seal underneath = thats the non return valve

sophisticated it isn't

If your filer is mounted so it points up into the engine bay ( essentailly upside down) then you'll need it, otherwise it won't matter

Unipart GFE320
Champion C105
Fram PH2821A

Just done another oil change and managed to get the Unipart GFE 295 again - the BIG one.

Unipart list it for the 350 Wedge (they dont mention any other wedge models, but I use it on my 450)

OK so thanks for the replies chaps.
I am reassured. I am using a filter that is fit for purpous (the inverted installation).

I looked through the "ring of holes" and did see a rubber seal, indicating that there is a Non Return Valve.
While I had my torch out I looked down the big central hole and can see a coil spring which I guess is for a bypass valve, which would open at a set pressure when the filter becomes blocked

Just for information I measured the size of the Fram unit. If anyone has a ruler to hand and one of the other types then I'll add the numbers in.

Unipart GFE320 - the BIG one?
Champion C105 - ?
Fram PH2821A - 140mm tall 95mm dia has rubber seal (NRV)
