Manifold gasket/O ring

Well! having just taken ownership of my near mint nick 350i,
I've got to sort out the blowing exhaust - got it on the ramps & it's the flange joint on the L/H bank downpipe to the middle section - the flange on the downpipe has rotted away & the 'O' ring disentegrated into about 5 peices when I split the joint.

I'm taking it into work to have the corrosion chopped & a new bit of pipe & new flange welded on - good thing about working in a motor test & research organisation - talk to the right people & I can get everything done frreeeee!:D

But obviously I have got to take the L/H manifold off, so I take it I will need a new gasket?. I know access to the bolts sometimes can be a problem, any other things I should be wary of?, & where can I get a new manifold gasket & flange joint 'O' ring?

There are a couple of different types of manifold gasket; the simplest is a gasket per port, ie 4 gaskets per side (and a bit fidly to hold them all in place). The better variety has two ports linked, ie two gaskets per side.
You can get them from Landie dealers, Rimmer Bros etc or even off Ebay!
The joint sealing ring you can probably blag out of your local Quickfit-type exhaust place...

Got my gaskets and sealing rings from Richard Thorpe,they fitted fine,they were the one per port type.
