Phew, made it all the way to Sweden and back in my 350i FHC. The whole journey took two weeks, and covered 2100 miles. (25 mpg avg,). Not many things fell off, but the exhaust is seriously knackered now after several autobahn high speed cruises, and several attacks from dutch speed bumps. ( I was being overtaken by Audis while doing 125mph, until I realised the throttle was only half opening! ) I also killed the radiator, and the girlfriend is now demanding power steering, after incidents in Copenahgen and Amsterdam, generally involving bicycles and/or trams and dead end roads.

Camping out of the back of a Wedge FHC is doable, aside from the rain being directed into the cabin when the hatch is open.

So, anybody know a really good exhaust place? I have tried RT , and previously used JP. I would like something quality that will actually fit. But I guess this means I will have to make it myself.

I had a chat with Tim at BBWF, seemed confident of supplying something which would fit.

I had off the shelf from ACT and fits like a glove, doesn't sound like one though.

Very impressive. Is this the longest round trip taken over the recent past??

I've had an exhaust from ACT, and it fitted without problem and sounded fine.

Hey Jimbo - great that you and Tasmin and Tamsin made it back in one piece - mostly!

Well I had mine handmade and it has survived one writeoff crash and 100,000 miles, but as he said he didn't want to ever make another, maybe I can't recommend him.....
