Well, I've finally found the time to take of the body :D and remove the engine and gearbox (both u/s).

I've posted a few new pictures at the address below...

http://community.webshots.com/user/tasmin280

The previous :bandit: (owners) need :shoot: as the rear suspension bolts show.. Check out the welded blob used instead of a nut!!

Lots of welding and :smash: required.

Hopefully get to BBWF 2006 :driving: in a wedge and not the usual ford :tank:

Don't tell me.
You've locked the garage door and thrown the key away.

If it was me, I'd take out that heavy old leaded fuel guzzling pile of poo, and put in a more modern (and tuneable) unit while you have the chance.
How about a 12 valve 2.9 or a 24 valve 2.9, maybe even a Cossie 4 pot ?

Thrown the key away too many times but SWMBO keeps finding it....apparently wants the space to put a modern car in ..... as for a better engine..... a more upto date engine would then lead to uprated suspension..then brakes .. oh and a rollcage .. umm racing .. ohh er, and the problem is.....!!!!!
As it is I have got a 'tuned' ex race-prepped engine from our Taz racer fraternity.... back to the humble 160 bhp as quoted in the specs....so it should be OK for a 280i...
Progress has been slow so far but hope is eternal!!! Just want to it and get the Cheshire cat smile

Hi Tallbloke
it sure is ....amazing what you can do with a bit of vinyl and an old 'Singer' sewing machine... plus a few additions from your old seats.... many thanks
