Good Night all
Discussion
Well, Ive just about had enough of the wedge.
Its been a source of cash digestion for the last 7 years, and, 3 years ago when the engine went "pop", I put a new one in.
After many months of minor problems (all sorted out by Peninsula at no extra charge), a guest appearance on Clarkson's Hot Metal DVD, I discovered theat the MOT ran out this morning.
I need to have the engine fully setup and tuned (the spec. It was supposed to be built to has never been proven, and to be honest I've kinda given up asking!)
For now it shall remain a "sleeper"
The Blue Beast has not seen the open road for the last 12 months due to front end electrical gremlins, and not enough time to sort out will probably stay in that form for a while.
Went to check on the Wedge this afternoon, the battery conditioner is plugged in, there is a bit of fuel in the tank to keep it turned over once in a while, the oil pressure is good, there are no leaks in the cooling system so now it is going to stay....
Under covers in a semi heated garage until I either justify spending the money to get the car sorted or sell it.
Over the years, since I acquired ownership I've seen many Wedge owners come and go. I've met loads of great friends, and also heard a lot of Bullshit.
I've seen Steve Heath develop his car into a Purple throbbing monster and TVR at Le Mans.
With TVR under new management, new rules and a very niche market for the older "classic" models, Im gonna sit the next few years out I think. I can afford to buy a new TVR .......... Na.... I'll Keep the Wedge a while longer.. Who knows, The spark may be re-kindled...
Time will tell.
Until then, I will keep my TVRCC subscription up to date, and continue to read these threads.
See Ya Later everyone.

No giving up just yet Jase,
You've got to take your 1st born out for a run in a proper car, that should re-ignite the flame.
Hope all is going well with the little rugrat, we really ought to have another get-together in town one night before chrimbo..
Besides which; you can't get rid of it yet mate, you still owe me a run out in it!
All the best matey,
Patrick.
