A couple of months ago, I took the front hubs off to remove the rotors to have them skimmed. I immediately put the hubs back in place back on the axles but didn't tighten them. (1986 280i)
I remounted the passenger hub a couple of weeks ago and it it went smoothly.
I tried the the driver's side today and not so much. I can tighten the nut up until it runs out of threads but there is still lots of slop in hub.
Is there something that goes between the inner hub (inner rubber seal) on the shaft? Thanks! Grady
