Does anybody know of a blue SEAC i used to own D849 OOM.
Was purchased years ago by Jim Gamsby and was possibly taken to Australia or New Zealand?
Just interested as it really was a monster!!

Only thinking about this one the other day. Used to know Jim when he was Mid-Kent TVRCC RO, and have been in the car and with him on Zolder weekends. I believe he sold it before emigrating. Got some video of it somewhere. As you say, it was an animal. Reputedly had a 355BHP factory lump. It would barely idle, but once on song, it really flew. I almost managed to outdrag him in my 350 during one of the Zolder acceleration tests - he got by with about 20 yds. to the line. But he did start in 2nd. gear due to excessive wheelspin

Yes, when i purchased the car there was an invoice for engine rebuild at about 18000 miles done by NCK or at the factory (can't quite remember!) and it was rated at 355bhp!
A couple of times i remember sitting facing the wrong way on roundabouts!! And it was in the dry!! (I'm a slightly better driver now!)
The car didn't have power steering and if it conked out in the morning after pulling it out of the garage you had to remove the fuel pump relay and crank again to dry it out before restarting!
Sad old git that i am i really would love to see it again!
