Paint Codes

I am looking for a touch up paint, got the body code of plate which is P422 PA41. Went to Paints4u and they said P422 is ICI (good start) but they cant identify PA41. They asked me to double check the code, but its clear as a bell PA41. Anyone got any other places I can try... the colour is Toyota Mica Red Light Variant.

The best thing to do is pseak to TVR bodyshop in Blackpool. They might be able to tell you what the code / colour was when it left the factory (if you give them the chassis number)
Then you have to find a supplier that still makes the old style paint for a better match, as the new water base paint is different ( but more enviormentally friendly - as if we needed to worry about that in an old V8 fuel friendly motor !)

Thanks for the advice. The factory are not really interested in old cars.

I have found out that it's an ICI paint, so I ma still searching...

Here is a link to Nexaautocolour which is the site covering the old ICI autocolur codes

Go in via 'technical' and registar (it's free) this gives you access to the search facility
Try your code or TVR - year - col;ur etc. you should find the full spec.

Is P422 not enough for them? They managed to do my paint from just the 4 character ICI code.

Did the colour they said it was match with the car colour?

Bit of a story so far. P422 is the manufacturer code (ICI), then the code after this is the colour in my case PA41. According to ICI and paints4u it is a blue and should have a B after it. Now my car is mica red, and has not had a colour change it is the original colour, I know this because a couple of years ago the factory confirmed the colour when I was doing a chassis check. I am currently waiting on Webbs Autos to confirm something, and If I draw a blank here then I will have to go back to the factory when they return from shutdown. It appears that this is not uncommon for TVR.
