The front "bib" on mine is missing and I can reach them quite easily. I'll check how they are fixed later

From looking at mine when I did body work last year, they appear to be bonded in with black silicone sealant !!
Decided to leave them in and mask up instead when I sprayed

Looked at a 504 today and not from them, still looking for a 505 to compare

Combined front indicator/side light (Peugeot 504 circ 1990) Pt Number 10513 (N/S unit, O/S one digit change) about £30

Unfortunately they are glued in with black silicone so you have to cut the silicone with a stanley and push it out, if I remember correctly the back or side of the lens sits against the inner body but you still need to hold the new lens in place with masking tape while applying the new silicone.
I trimmed the old silicone in such a way that this offered some support.

Does anyone know the 'correct' type of silicone used?
Any.....Halfrauds??

The silicone around my front lenses is coming away and needs re-doing.

Thanks

Doubtful because 504 production ended in 1982 www.motorbase.com/vehicle/by-id/902/

Tiger bond is good stuff (if it will bond a tiger it should manage a bit of plastic)

Be carefull! There are two types of 505 indicator unit
(yes, its the 505, not the 504 light on the 400) I know for sure cos I replaced one last year.
The difference is in how the bulbs go into the back of the light (straight or angled). Both will fit, but one requires a bit of fettling (cutting) of te fibreglass behind to fit in.
Also, the later units are very ever so slightly paler on the orange bit than the earlier ones.
I'd say buy as a pair so that you get a nice match.
They cost about £30 each

I am now the proud owner of a new set of pigot 505 units the part numbers are the problem to most pigot dealers due to the fact they are on microfish the part numbers are P0000630187 / P0000630186 but not sure which side is which.£23.98 each + VAT. I've got a spare used drivers side in ok nick if its any use to anyone.
