NEC Show TVRCC Wedge Fest
Discussion
I was there today, great show.
The car club did an excellent display of photos around the stand perimeter for the 25 yr anniversary + the 3 Wedges + the other tivs - well done.
We walked the 4 halls in the morning, had lunch then walked around everywhere again in the afternoon noticing stuff that I missed 1st time around. - By 4:00pm though, my son had had enough.
Must have walked miles. Off to bed now, tired but with smile on face to dream of lovely classic cars and girls in hot tubs - how nice is that!

Well - sorry to be the dissenting view, but by exhibition standards that is not a good display - going by the photo above. The club should of course be congratulated for making thec effort. No doubt the cars on the stand made it all work well.
Still can't get over why 2005 is deemed to be the 25th anniversary of the Wedge when it really is 2004.
Yaaaaaaaaargh!

Hi Stainless Steve......was there on sunday, looked out for you but you must have been browsing the other motors.....forgive my drool marks over the 450 ! hows the other monster doing?
p.s. met the Silver 280 FHC owner who i used to see up at the Meriden meets (Midlands)....and he is due to sell up soon i think....and also met up with one of my old sparring partners/co-driver for BBWF 2004 ....Blaine UK
p.p.s. Russ Swift is still bonkers after all these years isn't he?
P.P.P.S......RAWSEwedge from the Griff forums(ex owner of DP-400's motor?) was there also ....he commented on how awesome the wedges sounded at the invasion of Griff Growl

Hello Gandalf....at the moment the Uber-bomber is going great guns......totally different to the Wedge of course but both cars are fantastic to drive.......it's just that ,at the moment my need for 4 seats & decent size boot combined with a fair dose of 'durable fun factor' outweigh the need for an out and out hooligan motor
It really is a Jekyll & Hyde motor......treat it like a grandads motor and it will pootle about in traffic no worries.......but if you wake the beast.......f
me
.....it goes......you get the whole 315 horses kicking you up the arse screaming up to 7200 RPM......sooooooooo easy to forget to look down at the speedo in one of these.......whats more ,the engine management system 'wakes up' and adapts to your usage......if you want to play Kowalski , the DME system says 'okay i'm ready ,give it your best shot....' really really clever stuff....plus the added benefit that it's built well, very very well.....that's one of the only downsides of Tiv ownership i'm not missing at the moment.....durability/quality build
in short mate....for a practical everyday car.....it's a blast
take care,my bearded friend
see you around

Well said Howard, I`ll second that mate - the stand and display was a credit to all those that put their own effort and time in to making it happen, not to mention the volunteers who daily helped man the stand over the three days - everyone did TVRCC and the cars proud
