What would you do?

Had a hose t-connector go in the wedge a little while ago (posted at the time). It was repaired by my mech by diverting an' stuff. I want to replace all hoses and connectors (T's elbow's and straights) in the new year but I now have a bit of a tempter, so I thought I would put this out there for the opinions of y'all.

Tried to find various copper alternatives from plumbers merchants to no avail (not in any of my local shops anyway).

It seems the connector kits for the hoses are pretty hard to come by but my mech is going to hunt around. If any one knows where to get them I would appreciate some pointers.

Anyhoo, my mech spoke to a local engineers near him who have said that they will make bespoke stainless steel connectors exactly the same as all my plastic ones for £15 each. This seems a tadge expensive to me but as he has pointed out they will be hand made and bespoke.

Wadda ya think guys?

I found some good purpose made copper ones out here in Aus in the Halfrauds equivalent called Supercheap Auto's.

Would have thought a variety of 15 and 22mm pre-soldered copper fittings and bits of pipe would replace most - any plumbing wholesaler should stock elbows, tee's, reducers etc.

Given that they're virtually invisible, and the originals are generally plastic, that's what I would stay with. When an odd sized reducer on my Wedge broke a while back, I spoke to the manufacturer, who kindly sent me a free "sample".

I got a hand full of straights and elbows Free Of Charge from the local Rover dealership last year. There are bound to be some somewhere near gathering dust on a shelf in the back?
