Hi Guys, can anyone tell me if the standard 400se Hotwire runs a standard Rover cam or is it a bumpy TVR item?

I'm 99% sure it's not a rover cam.. your best bet would be to call TVR power.

The 400 SE I worked on had a Kent 218 cam in it and that was the original camshaft.

Just had mine replaced at Offord's. I'm fairly sure that it was a Kent cam used.

The cam in my 4.3 TVR Power sourced engine (circa '94) is a Kent 214. Not sure what would have been in the original 4.0L.

Most 400SEs had the Kent 214, some wedges had 224 and SEACs 234, later on they had their own grind with TVR numbers, TVR51 etc.
