Anyone know if these are a good thing??? seem to be a perfect answer to improve the engine acceleration, but do they have any side effects due to the increased fuel pressure across the fuel rail?

OK at first (assuming you set the pressure correctly) but have a bit of a reputation for going soft with age.

Soft as in the fuel pressure drops off so the engine runs lean.

Demon Tweeks do an in line pressure gauge at £10 - £25 and adjustable pressure regulator at about £45

I have a rising rate regulator on the 350i. It works quite well, and is fully adjustable, so you can tune out any aging effects.
