To reinforce my status as a laid-back grandad, I have just acquired an original Hella cruise control system for the RV8... to fit on my wedge.

Should be entertaining...

Will this give you the time to nip onto the parcel shelf and brew up?

Shouldn't think most of that lot would know a big-end from their bell-end...

Right, first stage was the easy bit: adding the extra switch and different column shroud to the steering column. In fact I'd already bought a replacement column switch assembly as my lights switch was suffering from 'SD1 slack', so I fitted that with the cruise switch.
As it happens the 'new' column top shroud also had the instrument lamps dimmer rheostat fitted which worked fine, where my original one had gone open-circuit part-way round the track, so that was a bonus

Pictures a bit blurred: I must get a proper digital camera one of these days...

Flash git.

I'm coming round with my timing again (on a dry day).

Only feels like about 215 horses.
It's too blinkin slow!

Not this weekend I'm afraid: got to do that Xmas shopping thing...

Though I'd rather fiddle with your sprocket

S'okay.
I was thinking maybe twixt xmas and new year.

I suppose I'm going to have to grudgingly do some christmas shopping too.

Why do people keep sending me cards ! ?

That Southend pic reminds me of my diesel grandadrovermobile going up the slip road at full turbo boost.

Now try to overtake me!
