New Exhaust Buggered!!!

Bugger.
New exhaust fitted in September now very, very bent - Caught it on a speed hump I go over every day

By the sound and feel it hit very hard - threw me forward and glove box flew open.

Both front down pipes where the new section was welded onto came away - resulting in an ear deafening 20 mile journey home. You know when you were younger and went to a night club and your ears ring for a few days after? - That's my ears right now.

I can now say beyond a shadow of doubt the I HAVE THE LOUDEST WEDGE!!!

Oh well,

at least exhausts are relatively easy to weld back together.

Get a skid plate welded to it while you're at it!

Large hammer and gain some quick skills in panel beating... followed by some experience in some oxy/accet welding and you will be fine... best part about Christmas, gets you out in the garage!!

(I reckon Adams right check the down pipe)

Have I read somewhere that even on private ground with public access such as employee car park etc, the law will still apply (height of ramps etc)? One for speeding plod and law?

Anyone got a series 2 350i exhaust they feel like selling? I am after everything from the manifold back

If your after practice, you'd be welcome to fit it too!


The section I had fitted just 3 months ago and everything from the middle box back is now well and truly mangled

try tvr autotune, in barwell gave me a very good price on one for mine, will sort the number over next few days,

Talking of speed bumps, try driving over the 3 at Lutterworth leisure centre , they are the biggest I've seen - 10 inches at least - wedge is 5.5 inch clearence.
