Not the 4?0 but on the Suzuki I'm having trouble with the horn

It only works when the ignition is off. When ignition is on not a beep, so I know it's not a fuse

Any one got any suggestion, it's a push the steering wheel type (only similarity to the Wedge) with what looks like one wire from the steering wheel into the gloom of the loom

Would like to get working as MOT time soon

If you're only worried about the MOT then how about running a permanent live (or ground depending on how it's wired) to the switch !

Find the horn relay.
First swap it with another, try, and swap back, (although I doubt that's the prob)
Pull it out.
Check on W1 and W2, these go to the coil, one should have 12v, the other should have a ground that flashes in time with somebody pushing the horn push.

Check for 12v on C1 or C2 there should 12v on one, the other goes to the horn. (These are the contacts)

Now check again with ignition on. car not running

Put back relay if everything is good so far, try ignition on car not running, do you hear the relay click? did the horn sound?

If it works with ig on, but not with ig on and car running ground the horn with a jumper cable and try again. If it still doesn't work then somebody has messed with your wiring, have you had an alarm fitted, remote starter? that could do it. Repost if you need more help.
