Well,

What were your Best and Worst bits of 2005 :

Mine best was arriving at Ettington Chase and seeing nearly 100 wedges and loads of traders marquees.. I had tears in my eyes (must have been the petrol fumes)

And worst was the Avo shock adjuster just spinning when I adjusted it (job no.1 for this winter)..

Best - Enjoying the drive back from RTracing in September after £XXXX amount spent on new springy, suspender, bushy things (ooer).

Worst - Not driven it since.... (Time to make amends...once the ice, snow & grit has gone)

Worst - Missed BBWF II

Best was the Wedge Surrey Rolling Road day showing 304 bhp - subsequently adjusted to 294 bhp

Worst was probably doing a 180 (degrees not mph/kph) on a damp French road under braking whilst aborting an overtake . Didn't hit anything, but suffered this incredible earache for days afterwards

7.

Best: An early autumn morning run across from Stokesley through Bilsdale, (bumped into Tiv enthusiast in Helmsley who told me the Ms and wedges were the best cars they ever made ....) Pickering, Fylingdales, back to the Blackwell Ox. 20 deg, hazy sunshine, Zep, Pumpkins and Sab on iPod, money in wallet. Oh happy days.
Worst: not really that bad but a day when I had to use the car and got as far as the end of village when the starter motor worked itself loose. Day of big hassle ensued.

Best - Picking the fella up in Nov from Southport (I live in SE)

Worst - The same day driving it back in the pissing rain! No, I loved every moment of it really especially all of the people ogling at it whenever I stopped off for some fuel. Apart from the hood piddling water all over me and the windscreen hurring up I was happy as larry!

I would have thought having a Ferrari and having everyone either ignore it or keep asking you why you did not buy a wedge

Best: Getting Tasmin through it's MoT 3 days before BBWF.

Worst: Rear brakes seizing on 30mins from home en-route to BBWF, having to limp home and suffer the ignominy of turning up to BBWF in the Chimaera.

Oh...and...returning home to find the engine troubles have returned and vowing to remove that anchor of an engine and put something better in...

Regards
Iain

Best: my wife passing me in the wedge on full throttle (first time I heard the car from not being behind the steering wheel - nice lady in a awesome car...).
Worst: ECU giving in, just before to set off for a nice weekend and meeting up with a petrolhead that never saw a wedge in the flesh.

Best - picking up the 400SX. On the way back on the A1 I slipped it into 4th, floored it and watched all the cars in the rear view mirror turn into tiny dots.

Worst - not managing to sell the 350i, it has been great for 8 years and then a litany of problems thwarted various sales. I don't think it wants to go!!!

Best - Finally having the electrics sorted on the SEAC(after having it sitting in the garage for best part of 2 months) and being able to make some noise on a tunnel-run.
Worst - selling the 400SE to pay for above SEAC - had hoped to keep both.(greedy sod)
PS. missed christmas postings so Happy New Year to all you "Wedgers" and hopefully see you at BBWF '06.

Best: Having to change a wheel bearing, in a french gravel carpark, in the pouring rain.
Worst:Camshafts gone & I now have the engine in bits.
2005 was not the greatest Wedge year. ( my Taimar has run faultlessly though. Not bad for an unrestored 28yr old tvr with 113000 on the clock)

Worst moment....Hmmmm, discovering the outriggers and box section were totally tommy cotton, or the window exploding after the central locking had packed in, so broke in by getting the back section of the roof down, and on putting the roof back up... i know now to lower the windows or doors open, or was it today fitting the right pistons on the old (wrong rods), all 8 and they all popped out off the block when fitted?

The best....erm i'm sure it will happen.

Best bits;
Driving the 400 up the Wye valley on a glorious August day giving it "the beans" just after buying it, thinking 'shit this thing goes' , later to find out off the previous owner, Tim Lamont , that it has big valve heads and a Mark Adams chip . Information I didn't have when buying it.
All the "runs out" I've done this year with the Chicken Run Gang. Thanks guys.
All the great moments I've had when the acceleration and the noise has made me laugh out loud and shout , and light the rear wheels up!!
All in all

No worst bits yet
Oh yes, not making BBWF next time deffo .
Happy new year to you all
