Does anyone know what the torque setting is for the 4 nuts that bolt the drive shaft to the differential...?

BTW They are “all metal deformed thread self locking nuts” so if you can spin them on, with your fingers, like I could with mine, then you need newuns which should be available from any good fasteners supplier.

Computer says 32-35 ft lb.

I just remembered that I bought a Jag, XJ12 & XJS (series 1,2,&3) Haynes manual a few months back and it states…

“Driveshaft inboard flange nuts” 52 lbf ft, or 71 Nm”

Hope that clears it up.

Thanks, I would say 52Ib is about right by the feel of getting them off! I was also going to put new ones back on.
