Could be an expensive year...
Discussion
Just been out finishing off the installation of the new stereo that me Julie got me for the TVR. As I sat, mellowing to the strains of Del Amitri, I took the opportunity to get critical with my trim. And it's not looking good.
Both seats are looking their age.
The 'veneer'
is lifting like hell on the glovebox lid and quite badly on the instrument panel. In fact the instrument panel back plate has decided to part company with the GRP dash (few screws needed, that's all).
So as well as a full suspension rebuild, repairing the damaged rear-end, renewing the steering column lower bearing, tuning the injection and fitting the cruise control, I now have to make the thing look nice as well!?
It's a never-ending ever-decreasing vicious circular bottomless money-pit, that's what it is.
And that's BEFORE I start on the Esprit engine rebuild...

Wedg1e you obviously got too many toys. I've only got my Wedge and my bike, but as they say, "You can never have enough toys"

Ian - stop ya moaning and get on with it
Quite right Rev if he spent less time sitting about listening to the wireless
(which you can only hear when the V8 not running anyway)and got some of the jobs done, he would have much more time to sit around listening to the wireless finding aload more jobs to be done, but thats Wedgering for you
Who is Del a thingy ??

Not wishing to be pedantic in the slightest
, but I NEVER listen to 'the wireless'. The aerial on my car isn't connected. The radio in my van isn't even tuned-in to any stations. I can find any number of jobs to do, alas I can't find any enthusiasm to drag my ratty old carcase out in sub-zero temperatures to do any of them.... and the amount of gear in my garage means I can scarcely get the door open on the TVR, let alone work on it...
Well, I bought my Wedge in October 2003. At that time as part of the refurb it had had a new radio/CD/stereo thingy and new speakers. I was given the removable front to go on the unit - and I've never put it on. I've never listened to it!
Seems there is plenty of music coming from that orchestra up front and out the pipe at the back!

Sounds like you need a garage clear out session.
My rule is - if you have not used it in 3 years then get rid (tip or ebay)..
Make a new years resolution : a garage is for cars - not for 10 year old fridges that don't work anyway

Well if it was only that simple...
See, mine's a workshop as well as a garage...
Maybe what I need is ANOTHER garage...
