I think Russ and I have been the sole UK Wedge entries for the past couple of years, although there have been a few Continental Wedges taking part. And it doesn't clash with LM this year either.

If that ugly black thing is going I think I could talk wifey into it,(she took a fancy to it at Anglesey last time out) but I dont know anything about !! What is the format ?? how do we get there ? where do we stay ? is it done as a package ? whats the cost ?? is beer involved? will we be back and recovered in time foe BBWF 2006 ??

Well, it's more of a social event than a trackday IMHO. Lots of Brits make the journey every year (with partners). The first one we went to was '91, and we've been a total of 8 times, so much do we enjoy it. The basic format is to travel out on the Thursday (from Dover for us)then a c. 4hr. drive across France and Belgium to Holland, where the event is based in a Motel, complete with segregated car parking and security at night. General get together and beer. Friday is trackday, about 1/2hr. drive back across the border into Belgium at Zolder. This consists of circuit instruction if required, free lapping, acceleration tests (side by side drag runs) in reverse direction up the main straight with electronic timing, a "hill climb" - timed run over a short section of the circuit including a chicane and blind crest, fastest lap competition, and relay races. Back to motel afterwards, more beer, dinner and presentations in the evening, more beer/wine. Saturday is set aside for a treasure hunt, and a final lunch and presentations. Highly recommended. edited to add prices from 2005: Thurs/Fri/Sat Motel double room BB = £75 per room per night
Friday night dinner (inc. drinks)£38 per person. Trackday £140 per car. Circuit intro. £48 per car. Plus channel crossing c. £100. Note that these were prices converted from € by TVRCC UK, and were rounded up a bit.

No I think I will drive over in my Tuscan and find some place to leave the thing so i can fly back, and do some work in between. If I stay over there too long I will need a new liver when I get back.
