BBWF Back Home Convoy
Discussion
Post here if you are interested in the Sunday AM convoy
to see the Blackpool Factory - this will be your last chance
before the factory moves.
This was where you wedge was built..
It will probably be an early start Sunday AM and it's about 2hrs 45mins away but is worth it.
Any Takers ?

can I just ask - if you say yes to this through rev and BBWF, do you also need to book in on the Back Home event with the TVRCC...... ?
I am not that keen, especially with the 2:45 there and for me 3 hours plus coming home in the M6 Sunday traffic lark - but the "last chance" to see where my wedge was born might just clinch it...

Yes Sky, book through the club as its nothing to do with us. This post is so that we can gauge how many Wedgers are doing what so that we can plan our Sunday. The Club website will keep you informed of the detail. See you on the Saturday?

Not sure yet - I'm sure coach will assist the few wedgers that want this on the Sunday.
Also not many takers yet.

Despite recent promises...
...it looks like I may be in Blackpool all weekend, I can't see how I can get the racer to Blackpool for the static display, get down to Ettington for a BBQ and a few beers, return to Blackpool and ensure that some scrote not to run off with the car...
Looks like Lex and I won't be at BBWF anyway. Bugger.
Regards
Iain

They only want you for your car
Throw a sicky and spend some quality time with yer mates
Absolutely Shocks.
Seeing as Derek is doing so much work for me, not just on the suspension front but on so many other facets of the car, it's only right I honour my agreement to display the car.
Its a right bugger cos BBWF'05 was a great event, I was let down by my Tasmin and had to turn up in the Chimp but, that was that. I'd love the opportunity to meet everyone again, the atmosphere was superb from wandering around the car park, to talking down the pub, to talking in the hotel bar, the BBQ, the meeting everyone at over breakfast and one of the highlights of my motoring year of 2005
However, having made the decision to go racing in my favourite marque, I have changed jobs and thrown *everything* at the car, time, money, my mental and emotional well-being, and if it wasn't for people like Derek I'd be prepping a Pug 106 for a stock hatch series at present, or worse not looking forward to the forthcoming season behind the wheel.
BBWF will happen again, I will attend again, sadly just not this year. If you can make it out to any of your local rounds please drop in and mock me for not racing a Wedge, you'll all be more than welcome. I am a strong believer that you have to take the opportunities presented to you, after all my next breath could be my last and I don't want to meet the maker knowing i never tried to realise my dreams, occasionally those dreams tear you two ways.
Things will come good. BBWF'06 will be a great event, whether I'm there or not.
Regards
Iain
