I shall be crossing Offa's Dyke on an exploratory sortie next Wednesday night (8th) en route to the flyboys at St. Athan.
Firstly I shall require a billet for the night, and I don't mean a shepherd's hut and secondly, I wouldn't have thought you lot would need much encouragement to partake of Indian (or Chinese) and beer...

So recommendations (if any) for hotels... and sign up for some English-bashing here!

I could not slum it in a four star... I would pay the extra £1. And yes Wedgie its all gone very quite over there in Lambland, they make plenty noise when they come over here, waving flags and chickens and stuff but the thought of one of us going over there has stunned em

Just visiting for the day (Thurs), slight upgrade to the x-ray facilities there.

Aye Dicky, if you can rally the troops that could be a larf... convoy of wedges trying to keep up with a Transit van...

Been meaning to a couple of times when I've been down at Leeds-Bradford, but work always seems to get in the way
Last time I had a colleague with me, didn't particularly want to turn up unexpectedly..

I'm actually off to Oxfordshire on the Wednesday before I go to Wales, I can see it being an early start...

I'm on the Oxfordshire / Berkshire border. Tea and cake here, if you're passing.

Mmmm... cake!

Not so sure about the tea though. Don't mean to look a gift horse etc., but can you do filter coffee?

Are you on a route from Brize Norton to Wales?

Ian, you are more than welcome to kip over if you want (I am in the Caerphilly area). I haven't got a spare bedroom at the moment (re-decorating) but I could put up something for you if you want on the old sofa bed jobbie.

Wherever you end up staying perhaps me and Dicky could meet up with you for a beer.

Cheers Mike, hotel sorted but couldn't get into the one I wanted. I'll be at the new Holiday Inn Express at the airport; don't mind a drive for a jar and something to eat...
