Excluding BBWF, I've seen 2 in the last 5 years. Are they really that rare?

Err... fewer than 2500 were ever made. That's about how many Focuses Ford make in a morning. Work on every car having an average 8 owners by now (I know lots have only one or two, but worst case here) and that's only 20000 people in the whole world that have ever owned one... probably about the same chance of you meeting someone with three nipples or a 13" willy or whatever

I've got a 12"-er but I don't use it - as a rule.

;^)

I've seen 3 - of my own - and about 5 others in 10 years, outside of TVR meets. Mind you, I don't see that many TVR's full stop.

I remember seeing a bright yellow one in the '80's around the north of Cambridge. And also on the motor show - which is when my jaw dropped and I suppose I got the bug.

Don't come to Wales. None here. Deny all knowledge of them

Job gets me around the UK a bit and rarely see them. New versions a lot more of course.

They must be one of the biggest headturners on the road a)rarity b)beauty (well.......in the eye of the beholder anyway, some may argue this point) c) most definitely noise d) The what the f**k is that - had this said as I was driving past some chavs the other day.........brilliant, love it!

The amount of interest that mine, and I'm sure all of yours do is great. Not just on a level of being a car lover and something new coming along, but the interest generated by people of all ages. Ad I was filling the beast up with 99RON rocket fuel at Mr. Tesco one of the guys who used to make them up in Blackpool came up to me, spent ages talking to him - lovely guy.

What would you rather lads.....a wedge or an over pampered, technology filled, sterile to drive sports saloon? I know what I'd choose!

I travel about 40k a year and have seen 3, other than at BBWF, meeting etc, which is what make BBWF such a fantastic event 120 odd all in the same place WOW ! its a bit like all them whales gathering in the North Atlantic to mate once a year (and last year nearly as wet). BBWF 06 should see even more cars, can we hope for 150 - 175 - 200 !!!!!

Only one I've ever spotted was Matt-Mans last week.
I probably spot more Ferraris than wedges.

I live in Canada, and I am on my second wedge. During the over 1/2 million kilometers I have driven my wedges - (excluding car shows / at the TVR dealer)...

I have seen one blue Tasmin DHC, one red Tasmin DHC Automatic, one yellow V8 DHC over the last 10 years, and one silver DHC back in the early 1980s.

There are 3 within about 4 miles of each other here
in Sunny(?) Yorkshire.
Mine, Taff_o and Tallblokes.
It makes a great sound when we can get out together
especially in the tunnel under Leeds/Bradford Airport runway!!

Saw a 400SE about 4 months ago around the same time as I started looking for my own wedge and it spurred me on to get one ASAP. Was the first wedge I've seen in about five years!(The last one was the white 420SEAC pictured in the TVRCC classifieds Wedge column) Have now bought a 450SEAC and love it to bits!!

saw 2 in 1 hour a couple of weeks ago

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=237257

ok it was the same one

I agree though you don't see that many, so it's great when you do.
We had 2 wedges before the cerb and loved them to bits, but then had kids so didn't get used as much or else I'd be left at home

I have seen two in the last 2 months in Cardiff, along with my own .It's great seeing wedges about knowing that the owners MUST get the same buzz I do each and everytime when driving the wedge, practical but boring Vectra (mon to fri).
There does seem to be an amassing number of wedges in Wales. Why is that?
