Hello wedgers....anyone know this one???
Discussion
I have sold the S3c, and generally sniffing about for another TVR. I have been concentrating on a 'project' bashed griff or chim, but whilst rooting around ebay found this wedge just down the road from me, it looks nice.....
I have always liked wedges (que many previous posts..)
If it is anyones on here, I wouldn't mind a gander...
Anyone know of a 400se anywhere for sale???

Looks nice doesn't it....very tempting but have to hang on a bit for the money to come through from the S3 so not in a position to bid for a couple of weeks unfortunately...Still, I can keep my eyes peeled.
Just seen the absolutely corking yellow 400 se in classifieds, what a beauty.

Hi Mike,look at this!
Rob
Indeed, what a beauty, would buy that immediately but can't afford it..
Wifey would have a sense of humour failure if I sold her car to get some more money.
Did the chimaera go Rob?

Got my eye on that one Rob, but I must be honest, it's probably a bit too much work. The seller doesn't mention it but the cross member has gone in, plus it looks like it has been outside for a while with no bonnet....
I think it will present quite a few problems in the future. I think I would prefer to spend a bit more for something a bit more solid....Still £4750 is cheap.....

I know for a 350i Wedge for half that price (not advertised anywhere) excellent runner in need of TLC!

Mike, the seller has answered a question on that Griff saying there is no apparent chassis damage!
Though read APPARENT as you see fit!
Strewth Rob, even my wife can see that the front crossmember has creamed in to something hard.
I am sure you will agree that it's plainly obvious. If that isn't obvious to him what has he omitted, that's my worry. dickymint said:

Mike correct me if I'm WRONG here!
Car has been assesed as insurance classification D which is regarded as purely cosmetic and not structural damage!
Hey ho who knows, looks like its gonna go cheap.
Indeed, cat d is the lowest category, and generally classed as cosmetic...it looks at least a c to me..
Saying that, I bought a porsche from a breakers which was classified as a c (major damage allegedly) which had a holed rad, damaged undertray and some small panel damage to the nosecone. The previous owner confirmed the damage as consistent with what happened, which was that he ran over a tyre on the motorway. There's just something about that particular griff that I don't like
