Found out why the passengers set won't move. The tin worm had eaten the last 1/3 of one runner and siezed the rest up.
I found a C reg Capri in a scrap yard that had a runner that was like new. Unlike most modern cars the runners were bolted to the seat not welded. Nearly the right size just a touch too long so two holes to drill at the end so that I could get to them to put a bolt in, in the TVR confines. Two holes to glass up in the floor and two to drill. Then there is the rod that connects the two ratchets, had to cut about an inch out and reweld. Then I found the seat brackets were not parallel (thank you TVR) so had to elongate the holes a tad.
Not as much of a faff as it sounds. at least the seat moves and is nailed down in four places.

Sounds a lot like my mod; I used Maestro seat runners.
