TVR's in Bristol

Hello all.

I should have my TVR on the road this week - WOOHOO. Cant wait for this moment due to not having driven it before ( Tax and Insurance problems).

The MOT runs out on the 1st of March and I am also thinking of getting a full service done and engine tune at same time.

Can anyone suggest garages specilising in Trevors / Wedges in and around Bristol that would perform a good service, also, any ideas on prices I can expect to pay for MOT / Service / Tune as this will be the 1st time - dont want to get doooped into paying over odds.

I have heard of a garage in Nailsea that probably would perform required tasks but have no names, contact No.s etc.....

The garage in Nailsea is probably www.tvrbodyshop.co.uk, I've never used them but have heard some good reports. A bit further away and recommended by myself and many others(see MikeB's recent thread) is Dulford Autos www.dulfordauto.co.uk

Saw a lovely dark blue wedge in Bath last weekend. There's also a nice S past the park near town.

The garage in Nailsea is Webbs Autos ( T/A tvrbodyshop.co.uk).
They rebuilt the back end of my wedge after a hevy rear end impact, and did a superb job. I also know someone who has his Tuscan serviced there and is very please with their work.

I'm in Bristol, currently with a grey S, but shortly fiddling with dickymints old wedge.
I will be doing the work on it up at numbnut's garage (He does Mot's too). If anyone knows the place, it used to be the bristol mini centre. Oh yes, the kettle is generally always on as well.

I can do an mot and service on your tvr for £120 + vat , that includes parts .. oil /oil filter/air filter/fuel filter/plugs , we get a few tvr's in now and again...silverbacks lives up the garage...If your interested were in fishponds, and you can email me through my profile

Would'nt recommend the Nailsea bodyshop. Took my newly aquired wedge to them last year for a fluid chnge and 'check of rear suspension'. Got vehicle back 'no problems with trailing links'. Month later all off to replace rear springs and discover one trailing link rusted solid and the other bent. To quote RT "impossible to check in situ", hindsight a wonderful thing!!

Think their good with the newer cars.
