Not a TVR owner I'm afraid but perhaps you will tolerate me here. It wasn't Autoglass selling them on eBay, it was me and Jamie has been in touch.
Apart from the core business of glazing everyday cars and trucks, we stock glass for a wide range of sports and specialist cars including the TVR range. We had the Tasmin doors remade last year and have sold several sets already. We can offer a professional fitting service throughout the South of England and Midlands and can bill your insurer for the work if you have cover. I don't currently require any glass but am interested in what the future availability might be for both drop glass and front screens? Also, when you get glassware "remade" is this made to the original manufacturers specifications, or is it reverse engineered from a piece part? Just curious how you do it really.

Mobile Windscreens are one of Pilkington's four UK customers and we have their enthusiastic support for laminated front screens for the classic and sports car market.
The doorglasses for the 'Wedge' cars were remade last year by digitising an original doorglass and producing a CAD file to guarantee accuracy. We had over 30 pairs made (not by Pilkington) and have sold 10 pairs already.Future supplies are guaranteed as are Tasmin windscreens.
We have many very good fitting engineers with experience of your type of cars. In fact we had probably the oldest engineer in the UK retire last week at 65.5 years of age, with over 30 years experience in the industry.
We also stock screens for the M Series, 3000S and Griffiths.
There are lots of happy TVR owners out there that have bought from us either on eBay (glassseller, look at the feedback) or direct over the phone.
Please ask me if you need advice or have a problem with glass.

Heated front screens are a definite possibility. We are developing these in conjunction with Pilkington for one of the small volume sports car manufacturers and have also supplied heated screens for Group C historic race cars.
The shape of the Tasmin screen is fairly strightforward and would require a fairly simple heating mat. Current draw is usually around 18 amps so the screen would need to be switched through a relay. The heating tags would normally be positioned two or three inches from the base of the A post on either side. Would this fit with the interior trim design on the A posts so that the wires could be dropped behind the dash in the front corners?
I will see if I can get a ballpark costing next week and what the minimum qunatity would be; normally six or so is sufficient plus the initial sample.

will the screens have all the marks on them so you can us them on the road.
as i had one made once for a crapheap(capri)and on the mot thay failed it as it didnot have any markings on the sceen to say it was ok to us on the highway?
if so i might have one if you get them made
