Mmmmm not too far from me.

I need to try an oil change as I have very little oil pressure when oil gets hot. (Currently 10/40) If this sorts the oil pressure problem, I shall be there to fly the flag with you.

No I haven't Darren. I have got the oil cooler but figured one more thing to go wrong?
Plenty of wedges run without. Is it really necessary?
I still have it and can refit if necessary.

I would fit it, that wild engine of yours is getting hot and it needs all the help it can get. I fitted one on my old standard 350 and it made a big difference. also buy a top quality oil ( search will give you a shed load of info ) after all, its a major moving part in your engine. Go on, spend £30 odd on a gallon of oil, you know you want to.

A decent oil is no concearn. I learnt my lesson when I was 17 with a metro 1.0. I did an oil change with oil from "poundland". Yes, £1 for a 5 litre plastic bottle of oil. My engine died about a week later

I will never skimp on oil now - I don't want to re-learn that lesson with the 4.5!!!

As for the oil cooler, I will have a look over the next week or so. If I can mount it somewhere to my wedge, then it will go on.

I have seen many posts about oil and what to use (one a couple of weeks ago looked good) so will research first.

Cheers,
Lee.

The oil cooler on a 400 is mounted in front of the radiator, I think anywhere in a cool draught will do so long as its out of harms way.
