Just out of interest. what is the difference between preparing a fibreglass car to a metal one. I recently resprayed my X19 (don't laugh it is now rust free and will be vary rare one day) and was wondering whether the preperation, which is the main part, was much different. I will definately get the final coat put on proffesionally as the Metallic Rossa didn't settle too well on the X19 mainly due to dust in the garage.

Got to be worth a bob or two just for bits ............ I know, I know, its a mortal sin but not sure what else you could do with it. Is it a 400, 390, 350 body ???

Quality spray job with the door handles still on !

I think I may have a bid at it. Got a 100ft x 50ft shed doing nothing.

Well depending on how much it went for, parts could be great....16's would be an improvement on my 400!

Even my new astra has 18" alloys!

Yes David (cuneus).

Mine did look a bit like that when the body was being complteley re-done. I've got some photos of the job. But then it had yellow paint put on it!

Interestingly, the car is advertised as a 'look alike'. And it seems it is without engine and gearbox. But what a Cosworth gearbox is I really don't know. Unless it is the Ford or ZF box that goes with whichever Cosworth engine it might habe been originally attached to.

I was looking at that, thought about sticking a 2.0l in and letting the missus drive it. No need to paint it then

The seats may be a clue if original, they are not 400 type.

The dash looks like a 400 dash and the windscreen pilars look like the thicker 400 ones.

I'm sure for that money you could of got a running 2.8 ?

As this now needs an engine and a lot of work from what I can see.
