Can anyone help me to find a bib spoiler - it's the last bit required for the rebuild as the old one unrepairable (by me anyhow!)

Thanks

Rick

Hi Matt

If you can let me know how much you want and i'll have it. I live in Durham, but am travelling down in Somerset and Dorset Wednesday and stopping over 'til Thursday next week, so could collect from you if you like.

Cheers
Rick

Good luck snow mole - had to take mine off after the roads around Aber repeatedly destroyed it. Now rebuilt & hanging on my garage wall waiting for the council to do something about our roads.

Hi Matt

I'll give T.E.T a ring tomorrow and PM you the details. Photos would help -to make sure its similar. Hope you have a great run out this morning, hopefully I'll be back on the road by mid April. I'm coming down to Lingfield for a couple of weeks in the summer in the Wedge, brother in law has a V8 MGB, mate has a Ginetta G33 V8, so might get chance for a run....

Thanks for your help

Rick

If anyone else has a 'spare' bib spoiler hanging around please let me know as I need one too.
I rang TET but they don't do them although they said if someone lent them one in good condition they would make a mould & start making them.

Well guys, ive just spoken to TET mouldings and he suggested that as mine is a new one that he would buy it off me so that they can take a moulding from a new one.

I guess this would be the most sensible thing so that he has a perfect moulding which he can then supply as many of in the future as people need-Keep the whole world wedging!!!

That sounds good guys??

Hi Matt

Spoke with Trevor at T.E.T and he doesn't make them. I've sent mine down today -in two bits, also to see if he can make a mould.
Looks like we should at least have some in production soon!

Thanks for the offer, but if T.E.T can make them, it'll keep us all happy for some time to come....

Well done.

Well, thats what i meant, Trevor has offered to buy my one off me as it is complete and as new, therefore ready to make a mould.

Trevor offered to buy my one to save the trouble!...he offered me £50 for it so dont know what he would charge for a new one..??

well when you consider the amount of work that has to go into preparing the item, making the mould and then making and preparing a new spoiler, and then couple that with the small quantity he's going to make I think it quite fair to expect to pay over 100 quid....

a general rule for the cost of making a mould is 3* the cost of the finished item so you can see getting the cost of that back is going to be a high proprtion on the finished item cost, then put on the materials and their isnt much left fot labour..

I do quite a lot of grp work and think TET's prices are quite reasonable and the quality very good

imho

No, i still have it!

I told Trevor that if he wants to buy it then he can! He hasnt called so i guess he doesnt want it!

I thought it would have been a good idea for TET to make a copy from it but still waiting for the call!!
