although I run 22 F and 25 R based on tyre wear patterns.

Dammit I suppose I'll have to check the calibration certificates on all that Budenberg gear we have at work...
Besides, are you saying that Halfords would knowingly sell digital pressure gauges that were 10% or more inaccurate?
It's a national scandal... email your MP... demand this and that...I've got a digital Halfords one which I've found to be pretty accurate and very repeatble. Found on 225 50ZR 15's on my old SEAC that 21 front (if you can live with heavy no power steering) and 23 rear is good. Anymore than even 22 on the front made the car nervous, particuarly going very fast in windy conditions. I could tell if the pressures changed by 1/2 psi but that could be due to the rose jointed suspension. Long term wear was even across the tyres.
Father-in-law's 350 had poor handling, until I found out he put 28 in the tyres. Reduced them to 23 and much much better. Tried 21 on the front and it was even better but looked a bit low. Don't know what long wear is like.
Dickymint, may even make a visit to BBWF if I'm able with the 350. Maybe see you there.

Ok, not in the way you're thinking, but the way the car rides over the bumps and the feedback through the steering wheel especially at lower speeds. Even a slight difference side to side would make the it pull slightly differently. As I says, maybe it's the rose joints and lack of power steering, but probably mainly because some of the roads near me are so bad. Going 90 round some tight dual carriage way bends showed it up but not to the same degree.

I've always run 20 front 22 rear. Wear was pretty even.
ive now put 24 all round and the over all feel of the car is greatly improved...on 30, the car was a little hard, not to mention excitable!
As i keep saying with all this stuff, until you get it right its so hard to know whats the best!
Got to say though, this forum is the nuts...never knew there was a place where people just as sad as me can talk about the thing which everyone else is fed up from hearing about!
