Are the OZs 2 or 3 piece
Discussion
I have 390SE with the OZ split rims which I fancy gettng refurbed before the summer to try to stop the temptation of buying a Griff.. but keep getting asked tricky questions like
1) Are they 2 or 3 piece ?
2) Are there nuts at the back of the multi-bolts or don't they protrude to the rear ?
Can anyone save me the trouble of taking wheel and tyre off to find out..
Also whats a reasonable price for 4 - I dont need them to be concourse, just a bit less scabby than at present.
Any help gratefully received..
Thanks
Paul

Thanks, but arrghh that what's I was dreading, apparently Lepsons don't do them..
No, they don't have the tools to remove the bolts. They're fairly local to me. Whereabouts are you? If you only want a rim polish rather than a total stripdown, I can reccommend someone. Had a couple of sets done a few months back - c. £25-£30 per wheel.

Thanks 7,
"if you only want a rim polish"... oooerrrr missus !! My Mum always told me to avoid such things at all costs, but in fact thats exactly what I want and £30 sounds a bargain... can you give me their details please
I'm at M25/M1 junction but happy to travel for that price...
Cheers !

I went to a local polisher in bracknell and got each weel rim polished for £20, did not need to strip them down, just used masking tape on the the painted surface and a bit of carpet covering the bolts taped to the edge and they came up superb.
Still looking good after nearly 8 months too

Getting better and better, Bracknell isn't too far from me... can you remember the name or number ?
I'll try and find out for you, obviously you will need to remove the tyres. He's not the quickest person either
So you would need some spares on yours. I have a spare spacesaver if you want to borrow whilst they get done (in Reading) Paul H
