Hi,

Who's best to get a clutch from? Costwise?

I had my old clutch re-plated. The guy did while I waited and cost £20.
Fitting is an engine out job.

Personally if I had to take the engine out to replace the clutch I would want the best quality one not the cheapest....

My excuse was the engine was out anyway.
The old clutch had only done a few thou but when your already spending a couple of grand on an engine conversion, do you stick the old one back in which has about 3/4 of its life still left, get it replated, or go for a brand spanker. Personally, especially with older cars, I think you have to draw the line somewhere...
