Speedo stopped working recently (again). I'm hoping it's just the cable come adrift from the gearbox and that it's fairly straightforward to put back.

Assuming that this is the case, is there a good way of keeping it on for good?

Speedo cable is held into the gear box by a Y shaped bracket held in place by one bolt. Dead easy to get at on the passenger side of the gearbox.

I think you will probably find that the cable has snapped elsewhere. So you will probably need a new one.

I used "TVRCARPARTS.com" last year. At the time they did not have any in stock, so I sent my old one for reference and they had a batch made up. My new cable fitted spot on.

Thanks! Tried to get to it yesterday but my trolley jack won't give enough lift for me to reach under far enough......I'll have to find someone with a proper lift!
