Dutch seac's on reg.

Finally the 2 dutch's seac;s are road goning this monday. My neighbours don't like it. The first sunny day there will be a contest between the two Blackpool beasts. You English like to bet on this kind of contest.

DAMN !!!!! Both Seac's didn't pass the check to get the Dutch registration.
Reason : Chassisnumbers where not clearly visible according the officials.
Gun-Metal and I spended hours to make them good visible but TVR factory didn't hammer them hard enough into the chassis. So, we have to come back next week !

M*TherF***ers! And now you have to come back to have it done by them? Since when did TVR start to put the number into the chassis ? The older TVR's only have the number in the VIN plate as far as i know. Anyway, good luck with those guys from the RDW (DVLA)

mine is 91' 400se and has got the number on the chassis

The Dutchie's can blast with the seac's, reg nr. for the yellow one 49-sr-jt and for the black one 50-sr-jt.

I know that my former 1983 Tasmin dhc had the serial number stamped on the chassis so I have to assume they at least started it with the Tasmin series.

Have a 350i '87: uk-driver side, in the flat area of the front right hand suspension turret. Difficult to read, and it seems to need sanding down every year to pass it's Dutch mot. So can imagine the RDW to play 'hard to get' on this one.

Back on registering in Holland:
Congratulations on passing! You are lucky with the new European law, as in the past nothing not type approved in Holland had big problems, unless you were able to register it as a one-off home build (e.g. a kit car). But then it was not allowed to call it after a proper car manufacturer. Would have given the possibility to register it as a 'Blackpool SEAC', 'Wedge Devil' or something like that..... (or use your own name - remember de Ruyter/ Donkervoort). As a one off, it is treated as a new car and needs to pass the latest emission tests: de ruyter could thus only be had running on lpg! Joop is using audi engines now.
So you were brilliant at using a loop hole the rdw must allow. They probably hated that, but couldn't stop you! (1-0).
What will happen as the SEAC's arrive at a respectable age of 25? No, tax? Don't think so.
