Doesn't seem a bad price, but what the hell would you use it for?
On second thoughts, I can think of a few things... mostly camera shaped...

Wedgie its got 'FULL SWIM GEAR'(WTF) So it would have been OK at BBWF05![]()
Also it could be fun for nights out in say ......Dublin !!!
I wonder what MPG that thing does ?
I think if you really welly it offroad it does GPM not MPG. Straight eight Roller petrol engine. Frequently belch big flames out the back.
Anorak Time!
Great vehicle, we used them as safety boats(!) when practicing river crossings with the 432 series armoured personnel carriers (still in service today I think)and Abbot105mm SP guns! And all they had was a canvas "flotation screen"! Flat out in water, not much!
There was a bit more than the plywood splash board to swimming Stalwarts,it was basically make sure the drain plugs were in!
A soldier got fed up with Germany in about 1969 and stole one from up on the Luneburg Heath and set off down th Autobahn for home, he persuaded the Belgians I think, to top him up -6mpg- and he crossed the channel, and- sadly- was arrested!! They were good for about 60mph on land carrying 10 tons of ammunition and 8-10 knots on water....So don't knock 50's/60's engineering!
Mind you an army officer about that time crossed the Channel in an Amphicar!

Only us Brits would do something like that, The Ruskies and the Yanks are trying to land on the Moon and we spend our time trying to get a 30 tonnes lump of steel to float. I bet we had more fun though, blokes just love messing around in mud, grease, oil and water. I wish I had the space cus I would buy it. Its only fault is the fact it has a straight 6 now if it had a V8 or even 2 V8s it would be the perfect sunday drive
