OZ Wheels - cleaning polished rim

Got a set of refurbed OZ Split rims.......

how do you keep the rim shiny........ mine have started to matt within 2 weeks (one trip in the wet)

is it case of constant polishing.... or is there a protective something to smear/spray over the top to allow occasional polishing

Some useful tips on products etc also welcomed

Mine aree refurbed and polished, now its just a case of keeping them clean and polished. I wipe mine down after every outing and polish after every wash.

What do you keep them waxed with ,I am hearing any polymer based wax and even been told that you can coat once clean with WD40 ,thats from the refurb man himself.

I've been stepping over it on my doormat for nearly a month....... off to open it

That article in sprint said at the begining if your wheels are 'badly' corroded they might as well be thrown away ! No way as you can't buy another set of original wheels as we all know !

It's nothing but plain hard word.. the electric tooth brush comes in hardy when you leave the hard to get at area around the bolts for too long.

Not sure if the G/F will notice I used her red head instead of my blue one

well thats me screwed I threw the X's out ... I'll use mine and go back to manual

well attempted cleaning/polishing them yesterday.....

they look ok but on close inspection you can see the rim is pitted.... I guess more extreme polishing is required

I wish I had known then I would have put a protective barrier on them before use

Could someone send me a copy of this article about Alloy and Splitrim wheel cleaning if they have a spare moment and all the technology .I'd be much obliged.
