FSE fuel regulator

Has anyone got a picture of a fitted FSE fuel regulator
- I bought of because it's got a presure guage but would like
to see a picture of one fitted to a wedge.

I have one fitted Rev but the guage on mine should be removed, the sticker on the box said NOT to leave it in place. I will send you a photo when I get home, wednesday if nobody has sent you one B4

No picture, sorry, but have FSE with gauge and left in since installation (over 3 years ago) and fine. Mounted it on the scuttle board/bulk head to keep it in a cool as possible position. Quite happy with it, but mine needs regular adjustment to keep it at the 2.7 bar. So it is handy to keep the gauge on to check from time to time, and adjust if necessary.

Whats up Rev? thought you were getting it tuned! screwed mine (ex 350) to the bulkhead on the heater plastic cover.......never did get that self taper in straight eh Silverback!!

Thought the FSE were no good unless you had flapper injection ?

I've got one tie wrapped to the heater cables, but it has no guage on it. If I need to measure it I put a gauge on the end of cold start fuel hose to make sure it gets to pressure and then drops down eventually but not too quickly

FSE do a not rising rate regulator. The advantage being that the pressure can be changed unlike the std bit and it has a guage too.

I bought a gauge for mine for a fiver, when i set it up on the dyno 42.5 psi, without vac connected was the best. I'm hotwire by the way.

You say no vacuum pipe - looks like the vacuum pipe runs from your regulator to the back of the plenum or have you blocked it somewhere or are you refering to no vacuum pipe on the dizzy ?

Sorry Rev, Its SET at 38 psi without the plenum / regulator vac pipe, and then is reconnected. have you not got your instructions ?? I could fax em to you

Do you find the fuel pressure remains fairly constant.

Cant remember the exact figures but it seems to loose quite a lot of pressure at higher rev's - which would seem to indicate to me that the pump is not supplying enough fuel / pressure at higher revs.

I'll check out the readings later.

On the Chim (running hotwire) I've an FSE regulator that runs at 41psi, but drops to mid 30's when running at 5500rpm off load.

Probably going to fit a bigger pump before too long to get pressure to remain more constant.
