I have found somewhere that says they can do my tracking but they say it's on a 4 wheel allignment jig and the cost is £70 +VAT.
My question is, is there any advantage in this, what is adjustable on an early Wedge. From what I can see everything is pretty much fixed, in fact the only items I can see to adjust are the track rods and the front tie bars.
Am I right?

Certainly the only adjustability on all standard Wedges is front toe and castor, plus, on the A frames, rear toe and camber (via shims under the driveshaft flanges - diff end). Not sure how the trailing arm set-up works though.

Though you may not be able to turn a knob to re-adjust it, you still want to know everything is within spec as something might have been de-adjusted by clouting a kerb or the like. It is only worth doing if the alignment machine operator knows what he's doing as not following the prescribed procedures can give inaccurate readings which are worse than no reading at all!

If it drives OK and does not scrub the tyres out at any point then it's right as it is ?

With your wedge you probably have trailing arm at the back. You can adjust the toe in at the rear by adding or subtracting washers. These washers are about 2" diameter, you'll need to get some extra just in case and cut slots in them so you can fit them over the swivel pin while its in place.

Based on all this info I think I will go for the 4 wheel allignment. I know the tracking needs doing and I suspect the caster could do with a check as I had to tighten the tie rod last year. Now I understand how the rear can be adjusted I will pass this on to the garage.
thanks everyone for your help.
