Wash My Hood ????

Went out last week parked on a dusty car park now the roof if very dusty, going to wash the rest of the car tonight but I have never washed the hood b4, its only ever had a blow job from Dyson. So do I wash it ?? What with ??

I have only done the Dyson thing works well to be fair.Have seen/heard a couple of people talk about these products.Renovo have a cleaning and a sealing product,think there is something there for Mohair.

I hose my hood off and use an autoglym hood care kit. It contains a special cleaner and water repeller. I have found it to be better then the renovo. As my car is outside all the time without a cover and used daily the hood is open to abuse!

Thanks I looked at the autoglym kit today I washed the hood tonight with a soft brush and the hose. I think I will give that stuff a go. Thanks

never washed the hood before??? Mine always gets at least a hose blast!

Ive only renovod the centre section of my hood so far to see what i thought, and to be honest the colour of the rear section is much nicer than the renoved bit! CRAP! cant take it off so have to do the lot!

The only problem with the water repeller, from experiance with my dads CLK, is that it tends to leave funny water marks after a short while and also if it does rain, the water repells (as it should) and drips straight into the car when you open the window or door!

Id stick to a wash....i have gently sponged my roof and it didnt do any harm at all!

Yup I have done the same although my roof stays pretty clean 'cause I have it down when and only up when put to bed.
