Still a bit tempremental..........

First of all big thanks to FrenchTVR for sorting me out with an airflow meter!
The car is still stalling on occasion and seems to stutter for a while before starting when cold, as if it's not getting enough air into the engine. I'd imagine that the replacement airflow meter probably needs adjusting as it's come off another wedge. Question is, what is the default setting for the adjustment screw on the AFM?

Hi Simon,
IIRC the default setting for the screw is about 2 1/2 turns out from the fully wound in position.
On the AFM i gave you I think you will probably need ot make a coupe of adjustments to the quadrant under the black plastic cover. I would think that for your car it would need the tension on the spring slackening off slightly, say about 5 teeth or so on the quadrant. Make sure you mark it before adjusting and note which way you turn it. Once it's about right, then use the bypass screw for the final adjustment. Ideally you need a CO meter or a friendly garage with one to help you check the adjustments.

It's a bid crude but, to set mine, I opened the bypass three turns, and then adjusted the quadrant to give 3.5% at tickover (all the usual set up options). When that was done, I took it for a run and gunned it at WOT up to max revs in 3rd with foot on the brake. You can do it in 5th if you want but not near where I live please. If it hesitates, it's too weak and the quadrant needs adjusting by one notch at a time to weaken the spring load, so it runs smoothly. If it runs smoothly first off you can back off by a notch at a time till you get the hesitancy and then return it back so it doesn't falter. When this is done, you can then set the idle CO using the bypass.
A rolling road is the final arbiter to give you the optimum, but this method will get you within walking distance; or at least able to drive it there.
