Today was one of those days that will be with me for ever . I left home @ 9 am in a alfa spider jumped on a train @ 10 and 2 and half hours later found my self stood outside Bristol parkway
train station listening for the arrival of silverback mike in the soon to be mine "little MOH" neeedless to say I didn't have to listen too hard Mike arrived and in I jumped for a brisk and enlitening spin back to his place . After a much needed cuppa and an hour or so guided tour around some of little MOH's quirks it was time to wack my sat nav in set it to home and crack off at this time I was nervous to say the least but it had to be done so gently off I went , for 15 mins I picked my way through the speed bumps and traffic before hitting the motorway. At this point you have to remember the nearest to a wedge i have ever driven were rover SD1 V8 's some 12-15 years ago and for the last 10 years I have tootled around in 1.9 td cars so this is my best description of my maiden flight in little MOH
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW WTF
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH ARE BRAKES AN OPTIONAL EXTRA .
Not wanting to temp fate I plodded along at a respectable max 3000 revs aprox 74 mph igorning the endless saxo,s 206's and various other boy racers that pulled along side me and tried to temp me in to a race. Once I got back to with in 30 miles of home back on roads I know and with in a recoverable distance it was time to give litle MOH a chance to do what she was built for and woooow can she do it still not going over 4000 revs she lapted up the bendy roads from Carmarthen to my home like nothing ive ever driven by the time I got back to pick the other half up from work I dont know which shone most my grin or my sun burnt forhead . Needless to say after getting home having a cuppa and listening to 600 questions from freinds and neighbours it was time to do a 38 mile round trip to pick up dinner . Needless to say I am now totaly knackerd but the happiest guy for miles and can't wait to set out on my next run .
Thanx to Mike for being a star and to everyone on here that has given advice over the past weeks I am now a total wedge head.

Nice one !

The hardest part when you go out in your Wedge, will be willing yourself to go home again.

You would have to search on PH. Wedge section.

But usually it means a blat what ever the weather. For the hell of it.

That is the only problem, you never really want to go home, its a bit like when you were little playing football in the street your mum keeps shouting you in for your tea but you just want another few mins / miles

An excellent analogy, and one I had in mind too, except with me it was probably having to drag myself away from some young tart.
