HT Leads

I'm spending some money on the beast. Has anybody fitted Lumenition 8mm Silicon HT leads to their Wedges?

Would Magnecor be a better bet , if 8, 8.5 or 10mm ?

I would say Magnecore from Tim.....www.actproducts.co.uk/silencing.php he makes them up to a specific spec for Wedges (something to do with the caps?

But then I am biased cos I need to blag a prize off him for BBWF

I've got a set of Magnecor 8.5, but having had 2 leads break on me, I'll look at something like the Moroso leads that V8D supply when it comes to replacing them.

I have a set of magnacor 8mm but recently 2 of mine have failed on me as well, so looking for another brand soon

At the end of the day, you pay's your money takes your choice. I run Magnecors on the racer, just incase it's true what they say about them (racers are a very superstitious breed, and I had a set spare, well they were on another family members car ). However everything else I have with a V8 in it I run Lucas Speedline you can usually pick them up off eBay or autojumbles for around a tenner a set, never had any problems with them.

I plan to go to solid copper ones next; you can buy the cable and fittings and make your own for a fraction of the cost...

Doesn't that create just a little electrical noise though? Say enough to interfere with TV signals for a 15mile radius around your car?

On the subject of plug leads, why does no-one produce leads that thread onto the top of the spart plug (instead of clipping on) like they use to do on bikes years ago? The number of times I've had a mis-fire only to find a lead has jumped off is ridiculous.

I'm sure there was a suppressor to put on the 'king' lead, if you wanted to bother.

Blinkin bikes and mopeds used to be the worst for interfering with your transistor,

Should do.
Only the coil might be in a different location, so just check that one for length.
