Full alignment

What the general feeling on where to get alignment done, Thames Valley Racetech quoted me just over a £100 for a full set up, or do you think your average quick fit fitter (about £60?) is comptetent enough?

Just had my BMW done 4 wheel alignment by a local tyre guy computerised laser machine for £45.00 thought that was cheap and they are not monkeys

I don't think it necessarily needs to be a TVR specialist, but I certainly wouldn't take it to one of the high street tyre and exhaust outfits. The difficulty comes when adjusting the rear camber - the driveshafts need to be disconnected from the diff to add/remove shims - I would suggest buying a pack beforehand as well.

iI went to a local quik fit a couple of years ago and asked about this, they said no problem, book in for a couple of days time and they would get some more spacers in just in case. Went back as planned and all sorted with extra shims fitted
