Ever wondered whats behind the Sill !!!!
Failed MOT surprisingly.
There where no bolts left inside thr car behind rear panels, just a pile of rust.
Curiously One side at the rear has been attached with one bolt into the tub with the other hole underneath missing below the tub.
At least the other side has two holes that line op with two holes in the tub.
This could explain some of the excessive scuttle shake ? what you reckon?

You got a couple of options:
1. Raise the car off the chassis by a couple of inches and get cutting and welding.
2. Take the body off altogether and do a proper job of it all, but this often becomes really expensive as 'whilst I got the body off I will re do the.....petrol pipes, brake pipes, rear disks, UJ's, petrol tanks, suspension components, paint the chassis etc etc'.
3. Depending on where the rot is cut holes in the footwells and get cutting and welding and then glass up the holes again.
4. Try and weld the chassis in situ - really awkward.
5. Cut the sill off, do the job and glass it back on again and then have a paint job.
6. Get somebody with a jig (ie. Dulford Automotive!) to re fabricate the outriggers from scratch using the factory jig and then cut and weld them inplace somewhere more accessible.

May I refer the honourable gentleman to this rustfest....
