Can anyone tell me where the stepper motor is located. I want to take it out and give it a good clean to see if I can resolve my stutter (so to speak). I have to get hold of a wedge bible at some point as I can see they are needed!

Dont bother looking for it, as flappers dont have them only 400 350se etc and other later Hot Wire cars use them. At least you know that the stepper motor aint the problem

What are the symtoms ??
Well it's difficult to start if you leave it a week or so and when warm I've had to set the idle pretty high to stop it from stalling. When driving if you floor it in any gear it stutters before accelerating, then it's fine. So far I have replaced the AFM, pipe to plenum, set throttle pot correctly and tried disconnecting the cold start valve. Set CO and idle screw numerous times and had it setup/tuned by a TVR garage. I've also tried some injector cleaner to no avail. I think it might be a fuel issue now.....
Flat spot when you open the throttle hints at a possible throttle pot problem. If the throttle pot is working properly, then it'll get worse when you disconnect it. If not, it won't make any difference.
good answer greenv8s I had the same symptom, traced to throttle pot connection pin-female working itself out of the connector block.
Have a word with Mark Adams at BBWF ..
